They needed a partner who could not only resolve these issues but also deliver a cloud environment capable of higher performance, seamless scalability as demand increased, and enhanced security aligned to Cyber Essentials Plus standards.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve this transformation, they partnered with Hydras, part of the Acora Group, to embark on a modern, secure cloud migration.<\/p>\n<h2>Creating a Secure Multi-Account AWS Landing Zone<\/h2>\n<p>After reviewing the challenges and future goals, Hydras recommended its Secure Platform Accelerator which would provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A secure, multi-account AWS landing zone aligned to Cyber Essentials Plus standards<\/li>\n<li>Clear security segmentation across test, staging, and production environments<\/li>\n<li>A strong foundation for future scalability and governance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to this, Hydras proposed its Core AWS Managed Service offering, including AWS Managed Security, the Managed Platform add-on, ensuring full lifecycle management and protection post go-live.<\/p>\n<h2>Driving Secure Platform Transformation<\/h2>\n<p>Once Hydras got the go-ahead and the strategy was accepted, the team started building the new environment using AWS Control Tower. Key steps included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing a multi-account architecture secured through a dedicated security account<\/li>\n<li>Provisioning three workload accounts for Production, Staging, and Test<\/li>\n<li>Deploying infrastructure via CloudFormation, ensuring consistency and repeatability<\/li>\n<li>Implementing an automated deployment pipeline using AWS CodePipeline<\/li>\n<li>Migrating the live Profiling for Success application into the new production environment after thorough testing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the migration was complete, the platform was seamlessly handed over to the operational team for ongoing managed services.<\/p>\n<h2>From Operational Strain to Strategic Focus<\/h2>\n<p>By partnering with Hydras and using a range of service offerings, they were able to overcome the support issues they had with their existing vendor, whilst also improving the security and governance of their environment.<\/p>\n<p>This helped them meet their compliance requirements and reduced the heavy lifting required to manage their system, allowing them to focus on improving the application feature set and increasing their customer base.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Driving a Scalable &amp;
