An approach for business leaders

“Change is constant. How we lead it needs to evolve.”

From AI acceleration to geopolitical shifts, transformation is impacting every part of the business. But while the pace of change has intensified, many of our leadership approaches and practices haven’t. Leaders today are being stretched across conflicting demands: deliver results now, reshape for the future, and bring people along, without burning out teams or themselves.

Executive Summary

Change leadership has become a core capability for modern business. But leading through change is no longer about managing a programme, it’s about reshaping how organisations operate and how leaders show up. At this Accomplish More Speakeasy, UK leaders gathered to reflect on what’s broken, what’s working, and what needs to shift to lead effectively in a world of constant change.

Conversations revealed a common tension: everyone is being asked to lead transformation, but with outdated tools and siloed approaches, under constant pressure, and without enough space to think. There was consensus that change can no longer be owned by separate teams or treated as an “initiative.” And agreement that culture, storytelling, prioritisation, and inclusion are now the pillars of meaningful, sustainable change.

The session surfaced six key areas of focus and a practical set of leadership actions to take forward.
