All organisations are adapting to a sudden shift in the way we work. However, it’s now clear that many of the changes put in place as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic may be here to stay. Corporate culture and communication continue to evolve as employees and organisations experience the pros & cons of working remotely.

Microsoft have released their plans for the 2020 Wave 2 release coming in October, you can see the plan here – as always the plan covers the whole Dynamics 365 suite so includes Customer Engagement, Finance and Operations and the one I’m most interested in Business Central.

Key Dates for you to know for the 2020 Wave 2 release:

Milestone 1 – 8th of July 2020

Release plans will be available. Learn about the new capabilities coming in the 2020 release wave 2 (October 2020 – March 2021) across Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform.

Milestone 2 – 3rd of August 2020

Early access will be available. Test and validate new features and capabilities that will be a part of the 2020 release wave 1, coming in April, before they get enabled automatically for your end-users. You can view the Dynamics 365 2020 release wave 2 early access features now.

Milestone 3 – 1st of October 2020: General availability.

You can also see more details of the Dynamics 365 plan or just the Business Central specific information here.
Just be mindful that not all of the new functionality will be released in October but gradually released between October and March.
